In 2003 I became a qualified personal trainer and I have never looked back. It has since been my passion to help change people’s lives by helping them overcome pain, get fitter and stronger and build self esteem. I love my work, especially when a client puts their complete trust in my training and experience.
Our family decided to relocate to Coffs Harbour in 2005. I started up Coastal Health & Fitness and worked as mobile/outdoor personal trainer and ran classes from a local community hall in Toormina. In 2006 my business became ‘Coastal Pilates & Fitness’ once I completed my Pilates Matwork training. In 2008 I completed the remainder of my training to operate my own studio and teach Pilates studio/machine based sessions.
In my spare time I love to exercise and de-stress down on Boambee Beach with my 3 border collies – Angel, Charlie and Loui.

I have recently moved to Coffs Harbour to be closer with my family who all live here now. I am originally from Sydney but have spent the past 12 years living in Whistler Canada, North America’s number one ski resort. I lived a very active lifestyle there and had a dog grooming business. Because I was self employed I could not afford to hurt myself and wanted to protect my back from injury and had heard Pilates was the best preventative.
I did my first Pilates Reformer class in 2011 and was instantly hooked. I was lucky enough to find a Classical Pilates Studio in my home town in Canada and I have continued doing 2 – 3 reformer sessions per week ever since. My posture and core strength have improved significantly over these years, and in turn I no longer suffer from any back pain and am stronger from the inside out.
In 2014 I started my Classical Pilates Teacher Training in Canada with Louise Tomcheck, who is a 2nd Generation Pilates Instructor. I feel blessed to have been introduced to this method of body conditioning by a passionate and knowledgeable teacher. I continue my training with my Mentor in Sydney Olga Tamara, Principal Teacher Trainer at Authentic Pilates Education Australia and am very excited to be part of the team at Coastal Pilates & Fitness, under the Mentorship of Lauren, gaining more knowledge from her years of experience.
In my spare time you will see see me and my crazy but beautiful Hungarian Vizsla Joey down at Boambee Beach every day of the week when I’m not in the studio.
I truly believe that Pilates can benefit everyone.

“I believe Pilates should be fun and functional. I aim to educate my clients on the essence of the movement as this will stay with them long after the session ends and into their everyday life. Once a client starts to incorporate Pilates principles of proper biomechanics and functional alignment into what they do daily, they begin to move with more efficiency. This translates into more energy, less pain, improved endurance and strength, an elated mood, and an increased sense of empowerment. To be able to do what we love more often and with greater ease makes people happier, improves their quality of life and spreads positive energy!”
Born & raised on the beautiful Coffs Coast then moved to Sydney in 1988, Elizabeth has found her bliss in Boambee in 1995. When not teaching Pilates you will find Liz on the beach, playing outside with her dog Koco, and enjoying life with her husband & three children.
